Maddux, Glavine and Being Inducted Together

The Baseball Hall of Fame voting results were just announced and Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas are all headed to Cooperstown. They will join managers Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa and Joe Torre, forming an incredible Class of 2014.

Atlanta will be well represented at the ceremony in July, with Maddux, Glavine and Cox all presumably going in as Braves. The last time three people were enshrined as members of the same team was in 2000, when Sparky Anderson, Bid McPhee and Tony Perez went in as Reds. But since McPhee played in the 19th Century far removed from the others, let's find actual teammates that were inducted together. The last time three contemporaries were put in as teammates was in 1946, when the famed Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance double-play combination went in together.

Below is a complete list of teams pairs (or trios) or inductees that went into the Hall of Fame in the same year as members of the same team. Several have notes on the right signifying years that they played together (or in the case of Sparky and Perez, that one managed the other).

The last three seasons of Pee Wee Reese's career overlapped with the the first three of Don Drysdale's. The last rotation-mates that went in together pitched more than 100 years ago (Plank and Waddell).
